Unfortunately, the pursuit of scientific truth often results in the same dogmatic thinking that religions actively cultivate… humans are inherently flawed in their capacity to evaluate information and perceive truth (otherwise religion would have had short shrift) – whether humans as a species will overcome this shortcoming seems very doubtful.
