On the Stock Market
Some heady cognitive dissonance here – this traitor “trader” and his advice are good news only for that increasingly-mythical American middle class:

Excerpts:
I’m a trader, I don’t really care…
We don’t really care that much, how to fix the economy, how to fix the situation – our job is to make money from it and, personally, I’ve been dreaming of this moment for three years.
I have a confession, which is, I go to bed every night and I dream of a recession. I dream of another moment like this.
Why? Because people don’t seem to, maybe, remember that the thirties’ depression, the depression in the thirties, wasn’t just about the market crash, there were some people who were prepared to make money from that crash – and anybody can do that – it isn’t just for some people in the “elite”.
Are you among the majority who don’t really have assets to invest?
Here, chew on this pointy stick for a while – as food and gasoline become luxury items, you’ll be thankful to have it.
The governments don’t rule the world.
Goldman Sachs rules the world, and Goldman Sachs does not care about this rescue package, neither does (sic) the big funds.
Judging by the fact that every congressman has a price and the way Wall Street’s executives tend to find themselves compensated well while their firms are bailed out at taxpayers’ expense, (or in the case of former Goldman Sachs CEO Henry Paulson, running the treasury) that’s probably an accurate assessment.
News flash: The people you thought were your leaders were not the ones pulling the strings.
In less than twelve months, my prediction is, the savings of millions of people is going to vanish… and this is just the beginning.
… and that, of course, is what this trader traitor has been dreaming about – he wants his chunk of that wealth.
Because you can’t live the good life without pulling teeth (in this case, your neighbor’s gold ones).
